TIRANA, Feb.18 – Tirana Police has begun investigations into allegations that 32 pensioners falsified old age retirement documents as well as involved former officials and employees of the Social Insurance Institute from as early as 2006. The abuse is thought to have been ongoing from 2004 to the end of 2006. In addition to possible criminal charges, those receiving benefits illegally will have to return the money to the government.
