Police arrest people on drugs, prostitution charges

TIRANA, Sep. 27 – Police sequestered 2.23 kilograms of cannabis sativa and also arrested Fatjon Spahiu, 27.
Police reported that the person had been arrested before for the same charges.
The operation followed a month-long investigation when it had proved the suspect distributed drugs in some Tirana quarters.
Fighting drug traffic remains a top priority of the country’s police along its efforts of getting near the European counterparts and integration
Three persons _ Gerald Shyqyri Fishta, 21, Maringlen Dylber Murra, 20, and Markilian Llesh Doci, 18 _ were arrested in Tirana after they were found with 730 grams of cannabis sativa supposed to have been ready for distribution.
Roland Kujtim Zhuka, 46, was arrested to serve his three years imprisonment for exploiting prostitution. He was sentenced in 2004 from the Tirana district court.
In southeastern Morava, Korca district V.M., 37, was declared at large and accused of exploitation of prostitution. He had exploited a 31 year old woman in the last five years in the city of Korca. It was the woman who pressed the charges.
