Police arrests street money dealers

TIRANA, June 25 – Police arrested 22 Albanians throughout the country for exchanging cash in the streets. They also confiscated 6.1 million leks, 28,000 Euros and $14,500 found in the possession of arrested persons. The arrests were made in Tirana, Durres, Shkodra, Korca, Kukes, Berat, Diber, Lezha and Gjirokastra. Police also appealed to people not to change money at street dealers but, instead, at registered bureaus. (Tirana Times Staff)
