Police train for border management

TIRANA, March 31 – The United Nations Office for Drugs and Crime (UNODC) started the third stage of a training program of Albanian police for border management and the fight against illegal trafficking and organized crime.
The Alb/G70 project was funded from the German and Italian governments.
Top policeman Hysni Burgaj said the positive results of such training have come out in the successful operations in the fight against drug and human trafficking in the last months.
Albanian police have also increased cooperation and held joint operations with counterparts in the region and wider.
