KORCA, Oct 15 – Two prosecutors investigating the Sept 12 death of businessman Kosta Trebicka concluded that he died due to the accident caused while driving his car in Leskaj-Voskopoje road.
Trebicka was the whistle-blower of the $298 million arms scandal of the U.S. AEY company of Efraim Diveroli in partnership with Albanian AlbDemil of Mihal Delijorgji, also in charge of disposing of ammunition at the Gerdec disposal factory that exploded March 15 killing 26 and injuring 300 people.
Prosecutors based their conclusion also on the reports offered by the local and foreign experts.
A U.S. expert was also involved to verify the causes of the accident.
Trebicka’s death last month was largely exploited by the opposition to hint it was a murder hinting toward the government and prime Minister Sali Berisha.
Trebicka was a main witness at the Diveroli’s case in the United States and also for the Albanian one, though his testimony has been said not to have been collected formally.
