TIRANA, Sep 10 – Prosecutor general Adriatik Llalla has asked his prosecutors to start investigation procedures on all the cases of illegal constructions and also when there are suspicious cases of property ownership.
Illegal constructions spread all over the country, but especially along the seaside, have also been set as a top priority to deal with from the new Prime Minister, Edi Rama.
He has also threatened to punish or take to court all local officials who have supported or avoid being part of a government process to clean such things.
Llalla has asked his prosecutors to probe all local officials who have stayed quiet on such constructions, or who have supported them with illegal actions.
Hundreds of citizens denounced illegal constructions countrywide after a call from Rama on that issue.
