TIRANA, June 30 – Romanian Foreign Minister Lazar Comanescu visited Albania Monday to meet with top officials and discuss bilateral ties and Albania’s integration efforts into both NATO and the European Union.
Regional issues were another important topic of discussions.

Basha said existing bilateral ties are very good, adding he has learned much about Romania’s reforms that were so important in moving the country to membership in NATO and the EU. He also reviewed Tirana’s efforts in reforms with Comanescu.
Further, discussions focused on border control and the fight against organized crime, both issues having become priorities.
