TIRANA, June 16 – The Spanish embassy in Tirana has begun a training process for the Albanian administration to assist in preparations for European Union membership.
The training courses will be held from July through December, covering issues linked with the bloc.
The training will seek to strengthen the abilities of the administration to meet those governmental standards required by European Union membership.
Albania signed the Stabilization and Association Agreement with the European Union two years ago. The pre-membership agreement is considered a first step towards membership. It has already been ratified by most of the EU member countries. (Tirana Times Staff)
