Strasbourg court fines Albania once more

TIRANA, Jan. 27 – Albanian authorities have been fined 5,000 Euros by the Court of Strasbourg for keeping a mentally ill person awaiting trial on murder charges in the same prison cell with hardened criminals. The European Human Rights Court ordered the Albanian state to pay damages to Ilir Dybeku, a 37-year-old-man from Berat, who is now serving a life sentence.
