TIRANA, Jan 24.- The current mayor and simultaneously the socialist candidate for a third term as the head of the Tirana municipality presented the fiscal package for the new year. The budget aims at a more even level of taxpaying with special allowances for families living below the line of poverty. The projects of the strategy for 2007 include a special initiative for establishing the Street of lovers, where couples that intend to make their relationship official have to plant a tree. The most important procedure that the municipality will handle this year is the collection and administration of small business taxes, for which a special unit has been raised inside the managing structures of the municipality.
