TIRANA, Sep 23 – The death of the businessman considered as the whistle- blower of the alleged arms scandal in the United States linked to the sale of the Chinese ammunition to Afghanistan, and also linked to the Gerdec March 15 tragedy in Albania, continues to remain on top of the news in the country.
All local media reported at the beginning of the week that the expertise of his death showed that he was driving his car with less than 40 km/h, a sign hinting that he was very likely killed and did not die in a car accident.
An FBI expert has come to the country to make his expertise following a request for assistance from the prosecutor general. He left after working for two days in the area. He is expected to bring his report after a week.
Trebicka was found dead Sep 12 in the Lekas village in Korca district where he had allegedly gone there for hunting.
The interior ministry said the death was caused due to the accident, while the opposition said that Trebicka was killed.
