Turkey reconfirms support to Albania’s NATO integration

TIRANA, Nov 16 – Turkey’s Parliament Speaker Koksal Toptan met last week with Prec Zogaj, head of the Foreign Policy Committee of the Albanian Parliament, who was on a visiting trip there. Zogaj also met with other senior officials there.
During the meeting, Mercan underlined the importance Turkey attached to Albania’s integration to the European Union (EU) and NATO, and said Turkey was supporting political and economic reforms made on this path.
Mercan said that Turkish businessmen were investing some 900 million USD in Albania, and called on Albanian entrepreneurs to invest in Turkey.
