DURRES, March 2 – A Turkish submarine became the first one to visit the Albanian ports since the fall of communism in 1990.
The TCG-Dolomay, a 56-meter long submarine with a 42-member crew, came to the Albanian port of Durres as part of the increasing ties of the Albanian military with NATO members.
During the two-day stay they will meet with Albania’s top marine military officials to discuss further ties between the two countries and NATO.
Albania became a NATO member last year.
