TIRANA, Jan 15 – Interpol Tirana said they had extradited two persons from Greece. Luan Qorraj, 46, was under an international arrest warrant after he had been sentenced since 1996 with 25 years imprisonment for killing another person and injuring his spouse. Qorraj had fled the country during the unrest in 1997. Aferdita Merkuri, 28, had been sentenced to eight years imprisonment for favoring prostitution and was under an international arrest warrant. In collaboration with two other Albanian men she had trafficked a woman to Italy. Both were in neighboring Greece and police managed to take them back. Albania and Greece have an extradition agreement.
