TIRANA, Aug 12 – A report from the European Service for Civil Action said that the visa facilitation the European Union had signed with the Balkan countries was not functioning properly.
The report said there were too many barriers in place blocking the speeding of issuing visas.
The ESCA has suggested full liberalization of visa regime for countries of the western Balkans. Such a visa facilitation regime came into power this year. However, different reports from local organizations have found greater difficulties still exist for people in these countries when applying for visas. (Tirana Times Staff)
