TIRANA, Dec. 2 – Heavy rain overnight caused serious problems along the seaside cities.
It temporarily blocked traffic at the main ports and raised water levels flooding the streets of Durres, Fier, Vlora and also Gjirokastra.
Authorities could not keep waters out of their areas for some hours causing some minor material damages to the residents. Main streets of Durres and Vlora were flooded and people loudly complained that authorities have done nothing to cope with such emergencies.
Some areas also suffered temporarily power cuts and ferries in Durres and Vlora suspended their navigation for some hours.
