AIIS Deputy Director Gets Best Translator Award

TIRANA, Nov. 15 – AIIS Deputy Director Jorgji Qirjako was awarded with the Best Translator Prize of the Year at the annual Book Fair held in capital Tirana.
Qirjako is considered as one of the best trsnlators in the last two decades. A number of well-known international books have been artfully translated by Qirjako into Albanian, bringing their feelings and inner world to the local readers.
Qirjako is a good connoisseur of the foreign languages and also of his Albanian language and culture.
At the same time Qirjako is one of the best contributors of the basic texts at Albanian universities, bringing much knowledge especially from the Oxford, Cambridge and Harvard Universities. Recently Qirjako has brought into the Albanian language the International Business and Diplomatic Handbook.
