For the first time, the Safety & Security Expo 2016 Fair will be organized by ExpoCity Albania in Tirana on 5-7 May. This Fair is about the security professionals and relevant companies and its goal is to highlight this market locally, regionally and further. The interest about this Fair is really high as this is the only fair dedicated to the industrial security as well as to the security at work, school, home, fire safety and others. To know more about it, we conducted an interview with the CEO of ExpoCity Albania, Ms. Zhaklina Rira who underlined that such a fair will be turned into a tradition in Albania and this will be a great possibility for the local and foreign businesses to show themselves.
“We have many companies which, will take part in this Fair, but I would like to rank first our major investor and collaborator “TISPARK” ,” Rira said in the following interview. In particular, she said that this Fair is an interesting invitation for the foreign embassies in Albania. “Some of our contacts with the chambers and the embassies in Albania are very good. They have participated in the conferences we have organized. They have been very responsive towards our calendar of events and fairs,” she added.
What novelties will 2016 Expocity Safety & Security Fair bring in Albania? Is this the first of its kind in our country?
Yes, this is the first time such a fair is being held in Albania. It is an international fair. But, we want to give it a bit of regional character at least for the next 1 or 2 years and then we will further expand our range. This time, we have invited companies from Albania, Italy, Macedonia and Kosovo. The novelty of this fair is not only to know about these companies which are operating in the market. After all, the aim of the fairs is to highlight the influential factors in certain sectors of economy.
Concretely, if we have chosen to organize a fair in the field of safe and security, we would like to highlight the main actors which are influencing the Albanian and the regional markets. So, this is our goal, to bring these companies together for the first time because it is difficult to be informed about them. These companies use their marketing ways but it is completely different when they take part in such fairs and directly demonstrate their products by showing the peculiarity of each of them or their applied technologies.
That’s for what such fairs serve: to show the novelties of these companies in the market and their latest technologies, their potentials and why not to show their existence because there are companies for which people are not aware. Businesses but even the common people should be informed of those companies which can secure their apartments/villas or offices. The ultimate goal of such fairs is to conclude contracts between the two sides.
Which are some of the major companies which will take part in this Fair?
We have many companies which will take part in this Fair but I would like to rank first our major investor and collaborator – TISPARK – which is known for its big investments in the parking areas in the cities of Vlora and Elbasan but even in the maintenance/road signals and road security of these cities, thus leading to some great comfort for the citizens. We are happy that such a big and prestigious company is taking part in this Fair. Another company to be strongly mentioned is EMS Technology that brings in Albania the latest modern technology from Germany in the field of emergency medicine. In connection to this, Emergency Response Albania, a provider of prehospital emergency medical services that uses in its daily work such modern technology will be featured in this Fair as well.
ERA provides emergency medical services in a very innovative and professional way. They deliver high quality service in an emergency scene and all the way through the hospital. Interestingly, this service is provided for free, but people are encouraged to support it. The medical professionals are highly motivated and work with a great passion. I am happy to see them working in Albania. So, I can say that I personally consider TISPARK and EMS Technology, not simply as two businesses but as two great factors in raising the public awareness in Albania as for the road traffic and humanism respectively.
Also I would like to mention the big companies dealing with the private police such as AlbSecurity, Victoria AL, Atlantic, ElectroSec, Rogart, Global International Trading and many others.
What kind of conferences are going to be held during the three days of the Fair?
Showing the companies is one side of the Fair while the other is the organization of the conferences. It will be like two events held parallel to one another. On the first day of the Fair, on May 5, a round table will be organized by the Albanian Association of Banks to discuss about the products the market really requires nowadays and what are the needs of the businesses when it comes to security. A conference, on cybernetic security, by the Albanian Ministry of Innovation will follow.
In the afternoon, a big conference by TISPARK will show its highlights regarding the changed image of Vlora as far as road security is concerned. On the second day, EMS Technology will demonstrate live how to help people who have suffered road accidents or the workers who get hurt at work. First aid to a colleague or to a friend will be an useful guide to be shown. So, in one word, I can say that the technology will be the buzzword of this Fair.
What will be your invitation to the foreigners as far as Safety & Security Fair is concerned?
Some of our contacts with the chambers and the embassies in Albania are very good. They have participated in the conferences we have organized. They have been very responsive towards our calendar of events and fairs. ExpoCity organizes high-level fairs and this means not only high-level participation but even a highlevel organization. That’s why the foreign embassies in Albania remain our main focus to show to them the companies which would like to establish contacts with them or to give them the chance to collaborate directly with ExpoCity.
