TIRANA, June 12 – A medical waste company, Euroteam, has been caught on camera dumping untreated dangerous hospital waste on a river bank in the Tirana outskirts, following an investigation by a television show. A journalist for one of Albania’s investigative news shows was hit several times by a company manager and shareholder, Mirela Topulli, as the journalist confronted her about the waste dump. Topulli is now wanted by police, facing criminal charges for hitting the journalist, while the company faces fines and removal of license for its illegal activity.
