Two days ago, at the International Cultural Centre, the second edition of the competition for Contempirary Art opened, a festival organized by the Institute of Contempiorary Arts in Tirana (TICA). Seven artists will be competing. An international jury selected the works that will compete. Video work, photography, installations, sculpture, performances, texts, will be some of the kinds of art represented at this exhibition. Those chosen are artistts from the Academy of Fine Arts in Tirana.
The jury is made up of personalities from the field of contempoary art, such as Maria Lind who directs the International Program of Artistic Residents, Stockholm; Adrian Pa詬 free artist, Professor invited by the Academy of Arts and Architecture of Venice; and Ivet Curlin, member of the Curatorial Group WHW from Zagreb.
The programs of the Institute of Contemporary Art in Tirana enjoy the partnership of the European Cultural Foundation, the support of the Bienale Institute of Tirana and the “Culture on the Move NGO.”
