On Tuesday evening, Dolores O’Riordan performed for hundreds of Albanian fans in a concert organized at the Selman Stermasi Soccer Stadium in Tirana. Ten songs from her new album and ten from her earlier repertoire electrified the audience. One of her famous hits “Zombie” had the fans singing along with her. “Zombie” is a protest song, realized in 1995 about the terrible conditions in the Irish prisons of Great Britain. It remained at the top of the American Hit Parade for six weeks on end, amongst the Top Ten hits in France for 19 weeks and on dozens of other hit parades and brought the Group Best Song Prize at the MTV Music Awards. O’Riordan is currently on tour to promote her new album, “Are you listening, a song which has been broadly transmitted on Albanian television and radio stations. Her concert was organized only days after the famous Italian singer Zucchero performed for the public of Tirana on the same stage on 13 June. O’Riordan has also worked together with Zucchero on the song “Puro Amore.”
