TIRANA, Feb. 25 – Prime Minister Sali Berisha said that Albania would be a shareholder in a new project to build a thermo power plant in neighboring Kosova. The statement was made after Berisha met with visiting Kosovar Parliament Speaker Jakup Krasniqi. At the same time, Berisha reconfirmed once more that Albania country would start joint projects with Kosova and contribute as much as possible in the development of its economy. The premier pledged that the Durres-Morini highway would be completed on time next year. Albania has also pledged to open its ports to assist Kosovar business. Albania is currently helping Kosova with its power supply, fearing that Serbia would cut electricity after the proclamation of independence issued from Prishtina.
