The Albanian historians of Macedonia have reacted immediately after the publication of “The General and Macedonian Encyclopedia,” which they have described as a “provocation and insult to the Albanians.” According to sources, the historians at the State University of Tetova will have a memorandum ready by the 7th of April, which they will hand over to all the institutions, together with the request that this encyclopedia be withdrawn from book shops. The Chief of the Seat of History at this University Vehbi Xhemaili stated that this decision was adopted at a meeting of history teachers and Albanian historians and that all the participants unanimously demanded that all the errors and disinformation be put right and corrected in this encyclopedia. The four volumes of 2014 pages of this work, a product of the MI-AN Publishing House, with Jovan Pavlovski as the editor responsible and publicist were financially supported by he Ministry of Culture of Macedonia.
