After its doors were locked tn years ago, after being abandoned since 1997, blanketed by dust and oblivion, Saranda’s archaeological museum has finally been shaken out of its slumber.
In three months time, this museum will be returned to its public. It is located in the center of the city, where the mosaic of this coastal town is, and for several days now work has been continuing on the renovation of a pavilion where visitors will be able to view elements from Ancient Times from Onhezmi and Kaon up to the initial introduction to be made of the more famous archaeological monuments of the region, of so much interest to local and foreign visitors. Dr. Dhimter Condi told local media that a project is being implemented scheduled to make this object help promote tourism locally. It will cost 135 thousand Euros to restore and update the museum.
