TIRANA, Sep 29 – Seven-time European champion AC Milan has agreed to participate in a match for the charity UNICEF, a friendly in Albania in mid-October.
According to AC Milan’s website, Carlo Ancelotti’s men will play against KF Tirana at the Qemal Stafa Stadium on October 14.
KF Tirana currently stands at the top of the Albanian Superliga after only four games.
The game is part of UNICEF’s ‘Albania Reads’ project, aimed at promoting literacy among Albanian children in remote areas.
The project is expected to raise enough funds to open 850 school libraries as Albanian schools frequently suffer from lack of books
