The Organizational Council of the International Exhibition of Visual Arts “ONUFRI” has decided to host the XV edition of this exhibition, from 18 December 2008 until 29 January 2009, at the Albanian National Gallery of Arts, in Tirana, Albania. The curator of the show for this year’s event will be Mr Riccardo Caldura, a prominent and leading Italian academician and fine arts curator. He holds the chair of Docent of Phenomenology of the Contemporary Arts at the Academy of Fine Arts, Venice, Italy and is the Director of the Galleria Contemporanea also in Venice. The appointment of Mr Caldura marks a new development in the practice of this event as he is the first foreign curator appointed by the Organizational Council to formulate, arrange and curate the final show. The curator, Mr Riccardo Caldura, has planned to visit Albania in mid November and hold a press conference at the premises of the Albanian National Gallery of Arts on 18 November 2008, 11.00 am, to discuss concepts and field questions form press, media and all those interested in the event. The “Onufri” Prize will be judged by an international jury.
