Manu Chao to give live concert in Tirana

TIRANA, April 5 – World famous French-Spanish singer Manu Chao will also give a concert in Albania as part of his Balkan tour. Organizers say Manu Chao, popular for his music which has influences of punk, rock and reggae, will perform in Tirana on Tuesday, April 12 at the national Qemal Stafa stadium at 20.00.
Manu Chao’s concert in Tirana follows that in Prishtina, Kosovo on April 10 and will be followed by other concerts in Sofia, Bucharest and Istanbul.
Manu Chao won critical respect and public adulation for his music that combines Latin and Third World rhythms with a decidedly leftist political viewpoint and has drawn numerous comparisons to the English punk band the Clash during the era of that band’s highly successful album Sandinista!
