Albanian extradited from Italy

TIRANA, June 13 – The extradition of many Albanians who have committed crimes in other countries has continued, mainly from nearby Italy and neighboring Greece.
Mimoza Lugjaj, 47, was arrested earlier this month in Alessandria, Italy and is awaiting extradition.
In 2005, the Kavaja district court sentenced Lugjaj to five years imprisonment for theft and abuse of post, after she was caught producing false documentation. She worked had at the city’s court prior to her arrest, and left the country to avoid sentencing.
