TIRANA, Oct. 23 – Italy has financially supported the restoration of the Institute of Monuments of Culture in Tirana. A Euro 60,000 fund has been awarded to the Institute through the Italian Cooperation Office in Tirana on the reconstruction of the Centre for Restoration works, a school dedicated to training in the area of cultural heritage protection for the entire region. The investment was due to the significant contribution of the Foundation “Roma Mediterraneo.
“The funds made it possible for the transfer to the Institute of a number of labs for the conservation and restoration of art crafts in metal, wood, ceramics and stone, which are complementary to the existing lab for the conservation and restoration of icons,” said Ercole Pietro Pellican
