TIRANA, Jan. 8 – Ibsen’s An Enemy of the People is coming to Tirana in January as cooperation of the Albanian theatre in Skopje and the Oda theater in Prishtina in honor of the 40 career anniversary of actor Bajrush Mjaku. The play which focuses on political events and especially elections is set on a ring with actors wearing boxing gloves. Bajrush Mjaku, who has turned 60 will be performing along with Ilire Vinca, Bislim Mucaj, Salaudin Bilali, Alban Ukaj, Fisnik Zeqiri, Adrian Morina and Arta Selimi.
The play directed by Dino Mustafic is scheduled to make its premiere at the National Theatre in Tirana on January 24 and 25 after its absolute premiere in Skopje.
Born in 1952 in Kosovo, Bajrush Mjaku studied acting in Prishtina in the class of Faruk Begolli and Bekim Fehmiu. Since 1973, he has been employed as an actor in the Albanian Drama of the Theatre of Nationalities in Skopje performing more than 100 roles.
