TIRANA, Nov. 17 – Arias, duets, choral pieces, ballets and dances masterfully created by Albanian 20th century composers will be staged together in a “United for Albania” event.
The Opera House event scheduled for Saturday evening, Nov. 19, will bring on stage the “Skanderbeg” opera dedicated to Albania’s 15th century national hero, a piece composed in 1967 by Prenke Jakova, the author of a wide range of creative music in Albania.
“Halili and Hajria,” the first Albanian ballet composed in 1963 by Tish Daija will also stage in the event which concludes with Avni Mula’s “Borana” opera.
