French Alliance and Embassy to hold screening of Rémi Bezançon’s ‘The Mystery of Henri Pick’

TIRANA, Feb. 13 – On Thursday evening, the French Alliance of Tirana and the French Embassy in Albania, in cooperation with the National History Museum, will host the screening of Rémi Bezançon’s ‘The Mystery of Henri Pick’ at the Unesco Hall.

The movie begins inside a strange library deep in Brittany, where a new publisher discovers an extraordinary manuscript, which she decides to publish immediately. The novel soon becomes a best-selling book, but its author, Henry Pick, a Breton pizza-maker who died two years ago, had written nothing but shopping lists during his lifetime, according to his wife. A famous literary critic, convinced it is a scam, decides to investigate the with the help of the enigmatic daughter of Henry Pick.

Director –  Rémi Bezançon

Rémi Bezançon is a French Director who has been active in the film industry since the late 1990s. He studied at the film school École Supérieure de Réalisation Audiovisuelle (ESRA) in Paris and the École du Louvre. He made his first short film Little Italie in 1997. Made in 2008, his second feature film Le Premier Jour du reste de ta vie, was a huge success and was nominated for two César Awards, otherwise known as the French Oscars, while Zarafa in 2012 marked his first animated project.
