TIRANA, Oct. 13 – Klodian Duro scored in first-half added time to give Albania a 1-1 draw in a 2012 European Championship Group D qualifier against Bosnia-Herzegovina on Friday.
But Albania lost 0-2 with Belarus in Minsk.
Duro scored with a free kick from about 20 meters.
Vedad Ibisevic had given Bosnia the lead in the 21st minute, shooting from close range after a cross from Mensur Mujdza.
Albania was without its Croatian coach, Josip Kuze, who suffered a stroke eight days ago and was following the match from hospital.
The host had a good opportunity in the 31st minute, when Hamdi Salihi hit the bar. Bosnia also had chances to win it, particularly when Miralem Pjanic twice hit the crossbar with free kicks in the second half.
Vitali Rodionov scored early in the first half and substitute Sergei Krivets added another goal midway through the second to give Belarus a 2-0 win over Albania on Tuesday in a European Championship qualifier.
Albania had its first clear chance in the 36th when Klodian Duro forced Yuri Zhevnov to save a powerful shot from 16 yards after Ervin Skela’s cross from the left.
Albania was reduced to 10 men after Armend Dallku was sent off for his second yellow card one minute into injury time.
The win gives Belarus eight points from four games in Group D.
France has six points and a game in hand. Albania is third with five.
