Albanian artists join in Istanbul’s Pilot gallery

TIRANA, Jan. 8 – Eight internationally renowned Albanian contemporary artists have been selected in a video-screening exhibition in Istanbul’s Pilot gallery. The “All About These… Ladies and Gentlemen”, exhibition curated by Berlin-based, Albanian artist Fani Zguro brings together Anri Sala, Adrian Paci, Artan Shabani, Alban Muja, Alban Hajdinaj, Armando Lulaj, Eltjon Valle and Helidon Xhixha. Some 80 artists from all around the world will be introducing their video projects at the Co-Pilot established by Pilot Gallery from January 7 to 23.
“All About These… Ladies and Gentlemen” that got started at Viafarini Milan in 2013 is a project that keeps on and changing in time. In every new presentation, new artists and videos will be introduced. The structure remains the same, while the information is replaced with other dates.
“Once I used to watch the movies of Ingmar Bergman, now I paste notes taken from E-flux and Art-agenda. ‘All About These … Ladies and Gentlemen’ is nothing but an illustration of the images that set these notes in motion,” says Fani Zguro, the curator of the exhibition.
Co-PİLOT, established by PİLOT Gallery in 2013, will operate in a multi-functional manner and host talks/discussions, screenings, performances, workshops and exhibitions.
