TIRANA, June 8 – Police reported they had arrested two persons who were found with drugs.
Artur Lita, 23, and Ndue Lokthi, 43, (the latter working in the military) were stopped at Valias, not far from capital Tirana. In their car police confiscated 1.16 kilograms of heroin and also a pistol and rounds of ammunition
Fighting drug traffic remains a top priority for the Albanian police as the country, now a NATO member, is trying to get integrated into the European Union.
