AMC grants art prize for “telling a story”

TIRANA, Dec.18- The contemporary art prize granted by AMC will see artists competing with their works “to tell a story.” Curators of the competition, Ardian Isufi and Najada Hamza have made the concept of storytelling a central theme around which the selected artists: Bevis Fusha, Driant Zeneli, Genta Spahia, Harri Aleksi, Ilir Kaso, Rudina Hyka, Oert Miziri, Sonilda Bardhoshi have to think and work. The special new feature this time will be that the works will be exhibited outside the gallery in public spaces in order to enliven the capital. Hence paintings, photographs, videos and installations wile be shown in streets, apartment buildings, parks, etc. The evaluation jury will be composed by Gianni Pozzi, contemporary art critic; Arnisa Zeqo, art history scholar at the University of Amsterdam and Vladimir Myrtezai, artist and professor of the Albanain Academy of Arts. The AMC prize is worth 2000 euro.
