The first journey to the America, for the Albanian artist, Alban Mujo, has been a mixture of his artistic senses. Later on the continuity of these perceptions have made him express himself first in a piece of paper and then in personal exhibition.
The Albanian artist, Alban Mujo has opened during this week his personal exhibition at the Central Station for Contemporary Art in Pristine, titled “The distance”. There are exposed a set of drawings that are realized during his journey in America, last year. They are views seen from an airplane. “My very first impression – said the author – up to 10.000 m highness, was that everything that is seen from up above is an artistic work”. His inspiration was stimulated by every single detail he has seen, starting with the different shapes of water and land and then the geometrical shapes of every object as parts of the inhabitant land. “I was looking at the expressive and geometrical abstraction” said the author. At every journey I was about to take in America, I was always looking for the “window seat”. This is how I started to fill my notebook with simple drawings”.
The realizations of Alban Mujo have been participating at the Biennale of Tirana and the curator of his exhibition is Albert Heta.
The exhibition will be open until the 28th of April.
