TIRANA, Feb.27- A waltz of happiness returns to the stage Avni Mula, the 80 year old artist that dedicated all his life to the entertainment of Albanian audiences. The Ministry of Culture together with the National Theater and the artistic association “Misionari” organized a celebration of the 80th birthday of the ‘Artist of the People’ prize honorary, Avni Mula. The concert was entitled “The waltz of happiness” and was attended by the soprano Inva Mula, his daughter and world renowned opera singer. The concert was honored by singers Adrian Xhema, Ylber Gjini, Sidrit Bejleri, Anjeza Shahini, Evis Mula, piano player Genc Tukiqi accompanied by the chorus and the orchestra led by Ermir Krantja. During this ceremony Avni Mula was honored by president Bamir Topi with the “Honor of the Nation’ award.
Avni Mula was born in Gjakova (Kosova) in 1928 and completed his studies in music in the Moscow conservatory ‘Tchaikovsky’ in 1957. he started his career as a soloist in the theater of opera and Ballet and was particularly praised for the role of Figaro, Eugene Onegin, etc. His creative career started in the second half of the 60s and since then he has realized a wide range of musical works one of which is also the “waltz of happiness.” He is the recipient of many national and international prizes and holds the tile “Artist of the people.”
