Berisha meets Kosovo leaders

TIRANA, July 26 – Prime Minister Sali Berisha met last week with a number of Kosovar politicians visiting the country.
It was also stated that Berisha will visit Kosovo this autumn.
Berisha also met with Kosovo deputy Prime Minister Ram롍anaj, parliamentary lawmaker and also with the head of the Committee for Human Rights, Gender Equality, Missing People and Petition, Ismet Beqiri, both senior representatives of the Democratic League of Kosovo.
Both congratulated Berisha for the victory in the June 28 election, also conveying cordial congratulations from Kosovo President Fatmir Sejdiu. They stated that Berisha’s victory is a guarantee for Albania’s further progress toward European development and integration as well as its contribution for peace and stability in the region.
During the talks they also discussed the fruitful cooperation between Albania and Kosovo in different fields and for increasing this cooperation. Speaking about the economic cooperation, Premier Berisha said that their governments should consider as rather important the great natural and human resources that the two countries have.
Berisha met with AAK leader Ramush Haradinaj who congratulated him on his party’s victory in Albania’s general election and commended the election process for being free and fair.
Haradinaj is the first Kosovo leader who publicly stated his preference for Berisha’s coalition to win the election.
