This year’s novelty was the participation of XXL models
PRISHTINA, Nov. 27 – Best fashion designers from Kosovo, Albania and Macedonia came together last weekend in Prishtina to display their latest collections in the fourth edition of the “Best Albanian Designer” 2010 edition.
The event, one of the few bringing together Albanian designers was organized by Kosovo’s Gecjan Fashion Group and RTV 21 in an open air catwalk show in downtown Prishtina, organizers said in a statement.
This year’s novelty was the participation of XXL models.
Albania’s Joni Peci, the head of jury announcing the best designer, also displayed some of his collections to the public out of the competition.
Both Joni Peci and Kosovo’s Suzana Peci were handed in Gratitude Awards in the competition as two of the most renowned representatives of Albanian modest fashion industry.
This year’s best Albanian Designer of 2010 prize was awarded to Kosovo’s Violeta Gruda. Winners were also announced in the XXL and veil categories.
Speaking to reporters after winners were announced on the night of November 27, Ilir Geci, the event’s organizer said that for 4 consecutive years the event had offered the opportunity to best Albanian designers to show their talent and compete for the best collections.
