TIRANA, May 18 – British Director of Public Prosecutions, Sir Ken Macdonald, visited Albania last week and said he had very useful meetings, including with the premier, the Interior Minister, the top police official and the Prosecutor General to discuss a number of issues, including the increasing level of cooperation between the Prosecution Services in the United Kingdom and the Albanian Prosecution Services. “We want Prosecutors to act as a single voice in all European countries to fight international crime”, Macdonald said, adding that crime increasingly respects no borders, and the response to it has to, in the same way, be international. He said there has been a high level of cooperation between London and Tirana and they expected it to deepen in the coming years.
