Canino, Italian Concert Pianist performs in Tirana

He arrived in Tirana on Sunday from Venice and played on stage at the Opera and Ballet Theatre – a bouquet of beautiful dances and sonata. He is the very well known Italian solo pianist Bruno Canino. This concert was organized by the Italian Institute of Culture. The program of the concert included the interpretation of six dances in the form of a “rondo” from 0p.38 by Clementi, “La Didona Abbandonata” by Muzio Clementi; sonata in re maggiore K 311 by Mozart to end with the sonata in do minor op.13 K (Patetica”) by Beethoven.

Who is Bruno Canino?
Currently Bruno Canino is Director of the Branch of Music of the Venice Biennale. He has a very busy schedule performing as a soloist, giving concerts all over the world. For 40 years Canino plays in a duo pianistico with Antonio Ballista and for 30 years has been the pianist of the celebrated Trio di Milano. Apart from being an enthusiastic advocate of contemporary music, working closely with names like Pierre Boulez, Luciano Berio, Karl-Heinz Stockhausen, Bruno Mad Rina, Luigi Nono and others, Canino has also passionately devoted himself to the instruction of young musicians. For the past 24 years he had been lecturing at the Conservatory of Milan.
