TIRANA, July 2 – Twelve of the best Albanian contemporary artists have joined in a Case D exhibition featuring sculpture, installation and architectonic projects. The exhibition curated by Ardian Isufi brings together renowned names of visual arts such as Albes Fusha, Arben Bajo, Ardian Kapo, Ilir Kaso, Genc Mulliqi, Vladimir Myrteza (Grosha), and Najada Hamza.
The exhibition is named Case D because of its connection with graphic design as a beginning but the whole exhibition goes beyond this genre because the artists’ works are a result of their experiences and carry artistic stances. “Many objects and subjects are treated like a kind of design filter but yet come as clear artistic works where every artist brings its own artistic examination and an art reflection on a certain topic,” says curator Isufi.
Works by US artist Jonny Detiger and Italian architect Simone Mazzetto are also displayed in the exhibition at the private Harmony gallery at the Hekla centre in Tirana.
Participant in many national and international artistic activities curator Ardian Isufi is a second and third-prize winner of the “Onufri” International Visual Arts Competition in 1996, and in 2005.
