TIRANA, Aug. 30 – The property of the Albanian Prime Minister Sali Berisha’s family has turned into a hot topic in August. Opposition Socialists accuse Berisha of not being transparent and challenging the property and savings form his daughter. They doubt where his daughter, a lawyer, has secured some 800,000 euros of savings and seven apartments, one of them belonging to Berisha himself which they say has not been declared. After a long silence Berisha responded while on a trip to Vlora Tuesday saying that his daughter’s money were collected from work at the Untied Nations authorities in Kosova, together with her husband. Socialists said a day alter they would turn the issue into a parliamentary issue to debate on it.
