On the 100th anniversary of Albania’s Independence, Eagle Mobile combines the traditional with the contemporary.
TIRANA, April 4 – In the framework of the “Year of Technology” projects, Eagle Mobile has revived the most popular lyrical tunes of the Albanian territories, collected over the years in the Odeon “Albania’s Songs of Freedom” (1912-2012).
All Eagle subscribers now have the opportunity to download their favorite tune from www.eaglezone.al and www.ringozone.al under the classical category, from “Hymni Komb쵡r” (“The National Anthem”), “P철M쮫dhen뢠(For Motherland), “O Popull Luft쵡r” (Oh Warrior People), the Song of “Ali Pasha Tepelena”, the tune of the traditional “Dance of the Men of Kuk쳢 etc. All Albanians wherever they are will be able to share their favorite tunes or songs and also use them as ringtones for their mobile phones.
Eagle Mobile in cooperation with Vasil S. Tole, the pioneer of this project, has made possible the conversion and use the most beautiful and best known melodies (patriotic and folk songs) which for decades have been preserved as a prominent feature of cultural and historical identity in the Albanians’ historical conscience.
Attending the launch ceremony of the album “Albania’s Songs of Freedom” (1912-2012) were the Deputy Director General of Albtelecom and Eagle Mobile, Mr. Orkunt Yozgat and Academic Vasil S. Tole.
The Deputy Director General of Albtelecom and Eagle Mobile, Orkunt Yozgat said that 2012 has been announced by the company “The Year of Technology.”
“We are proud that Eagle Mobile brings through technology a bunch of Albanian national culture right in the atmosphere of the 100th anniversary of Independence , a fact which we could not leave in limbo,” said Mr. Yozgat.
Eagle Mobile aims to influence the creation of a new relationship between the revival of the cultural values of the Albanians’ spiritual tradition and the digital technology in Albania.
The restoration of this musical heritage is a cultural initiative to recall these values as well as a tribute to all the Albanian.
