TIRANA, Feb.28- The Albanian question does exist but only in forms that are unconventional and untreated by the public discourse, moving beyond nationalistic concerns to the dynamic of regional and economic outlook. Judit Batt, from the Institute for Security Studies of the European Union launched the book “Is there an Albanian question” during the Security and Foreign Policy Forum organized by Albanian Institute for International Studies attended by members of the diplomatic community, civil society, media, academia, etc. Batt presented the most interesting aspects of the essays featured in the edition edited by her. She also discussed interactively with participants about the questions over the recent events in the Balkans especially after the independence of Kosova which has raised questions on the integration perspectives of the Balkan countries.
The book contains contributions by well-known scholars and experts on the region such as Misha Glenny, Miranda Vickers, Fabian Schmidt, Denisa Kostovicova, Nicola Mai and Nadege Ragaru and is a publication of the prestigious Chaillot paper series from the Institute for Security Studies.
