TIRANA, Nov. 8 – Gezim Halitaj was extradited from Belgium to serve his imprisonment in Albania.
Halitaj was sentenced to 25 years imprisonment for a murder he had committed in 1992. in 1997 he had left the country during the turmoil in the country.
In 1992 Halitaj shot and killed Sokol and Perparim Halitaj, his cousins, following a quarrel.
In Brussels he lived under a false name, which still could not escape cooperation of the Albanian and Belgian Interpol offices.
