TIRANA, Jan. 24 – Police reported that Sokol Kuka, 39, was extradited from neighboring Greece
Kuka was arrested from Interpol Athens following an international arrest warrant.
In 2007 the Fieri district court had sentenced him to one year and eight months imprisonment and also a fine of two million leks for illegal border crossing and for assisting other people do the same.
In May 2007 together with some other persons Kuka had organized the illegal border trafficking of some people toward neighboring Greece for which he had asked them a payment of 700 euros each.
Hektor Nikolli, 35, was extradited from Austria.
The Diber district court had decided on an arrest warrant on him in 2009.
in 1996 together with five other persons they had shot against a bus from Peshkopi to Rec and killed the driver and another person there. Following that they robbed the other passengers in the bus, including money taken to the Rec commune for the administration there.
