TIRANA, Aug. 10 – UNESCO Artists Inva Mula, an Albanian soprano, together with Macedonian baritone Boris Trajanov and Macedonian bass Aleksandar Stefanovski will perform at 48th Ohrid Fest under Italian conductor Francesco Rosa on the scene of the Antique Theater in Ohrid.
Inva Mula is an opera singer born in Tirana, Albania. She is perhaps best-known to the world pop culture as the soprano voice behind the Diva Plavalaguna in the film “The Fifth Element” where she gave an out of this world performance. She comes from an artistic family and began her opera career at a very early age. Inva will perform after accepting the invitation from Macedonian Opera Maestro Boris Trajanov, who told the press in Skopje that he deemed her for a person with great human and professional qualities.
Trajanov has invited Mula and Stefanovski to perform at the concert.
“I have wished to have Mula for the sake of my dear Albanians in Macedonia as I believe that prejudices should be broken and cultural events are the best for that purpose,” Trajanov said. Trajanov is a world opera star, recipient of the opera ‘Oscar’ in Graz for best male role and has been an UNESCO Artist since 2005.
Aleksandar Stevanovski is a graduate of the Music Academy in Bulgaria. Being only 26 years old, he said he was honored to have the opportunity to sing with great artists.
