TIRANA, Oct. 25 – Putting Tirana on the map of recognized fashion events has been the aim of the most recent activity as the Joni Pe詠fashion group has organized a proper fashion week in the Albanian capital. Designers from all over the Balkans have brought their creations to the Albanian Culture Center for one week of parading their works on the cat walks and also focusing on fashion trends. Representatives of JPFG say these designers are very talented and should be given a chance to display their work in the growing and developing metropolis of Tirana. Susuri from Serbia, Nenad Sekirarski from Macedonia, Dielli fashion from Kosovo and F&D Fashion from Greece have joined three Albanian designers: Mirela Nurce, Joni Pe詠and Gledis. The event is a real proper show with the soprano Inva Mula, now an internationally acclaimed singer, providing grace and style to the event. Ethnic focus is the trademark of the event with clothes inspired from folk culture being shown by local models accompanied by folk music.
Some of the models participating are those selected in the competition, “Supermodel of The World”. The show hosts, Bledi Strakosha and Ornela Bregu, are also back stage moderators.
